Rosemary Hipp Obituary

Rosemary A. (Reidy) Hipp, aka "Vi" 85, of Worcester, formerly of Paxton passed away Sun., Aug. 3 in Radius Healthcare.

Her husband, Edward D. Hipp, Sr. died in 1998. She leaves two children, Marsha A. Prunier and her husband Fran of Paxton and Edward D. Hipp, Jr. and his wife Alison of Spencer; a brother, James A. Reidy, Jr. and his wife Mary of Leicester; a sister, Dorothy A. Hunt and her husband Martin of Northboro; five grandchildren, Andrew, Kayla and Brianna Prunier and Jessica McGarry and Marshall Hipp. A son, John E. Hipp and a brother, John L. Reidy predeceased her. She was born in Worcester, daughter of James A. Reidy, Sr. and Alice (Hebert) Reidy and graduated from Commerce High School.

Rosemary worked in the Food Service Department at Clark University, before retiring. Prior to that she was a secretary at the former Crompton and Knowles Co. She was a member of St. Peter's Church and the Post #5 Daughters of the American Legion Drum Corp. Rosemary's interests were spending time with her grandchildren, crocheting and the great days at the beach.

The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the entire staff, particularly the fourth floor nursing staff at Radius Healthcare and to UMASS Memorial Hospice.

The Funeral will be held Thurs. Aug. 7, from CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St. with a Mass at 10 AM in St. Peter's Church, 931 Main St. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Visiting Hours will be held Wed., Aug 6, from 5 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
