Austin Violette Obituary

Austin J. Violette, 58, formerly of Oxford, died Monday, August 4, in Jewish Healthcare Center.

He leaves his mother, Theresa (Cyr) Violette Charron and her husband, Joseph of St. Petersburg, FL; a brother, Phillip Violette and his wife, Cheryl of Weymouth, MA and a sister, Donna Lally and her husband George of Norwood, MA; three nephews, Matthew, Adam and Patrick and a great nephew, Nathaniel. He is predeceased by his father, Herby Violette.

Mr. Violette was born in Oxford and graduated from Oxford High School and Westfield State College. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. Austin was an avid Boston sports fan and golfer.

The memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, August 9 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Ann's Church, 654 Main St., North Oxford, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA, 01701.

AJ was a good person who cared deeply for his family and friends. We all cared for him very much, and he will be sorely missed by everyone that has been touched by his life.
