Roger Hubler Obituary

Roger J. Hubler, 70, of Edgewater and formerly of Auburn, died July 23rd in the Malcolm Randall VA Medical Center, Gainesville with his devoted wife Faith by his side.

Besides his wife, Roger leaves his daughter, Maribeth Grampetro of Auburn; his son, John Hubler of Charlton; his sister, Joan Peterson of Hamden, CT; two grandchildren, Jennifer and Gregory Jaroszuk; two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Eunice H. Bryden in 2006. He was born in New Haven, CT and lived in Auburn for many years before moving to Florida. He was a proud veteran, serving for two years in the US Army. Roger worked as a sales representative throughout New England. He was a former member of the Auburn Lions Club, a member of the Melha Temple Shrine, Springfield, and was a baseball coach for several years.

Private graveside services will be held in Hillside Cemetery, Auburn where he will be laid to rest next to his first wife, Arlene (Kelly) Hubler who died in 1984. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Shiners' Hospital, 516 Carew St., Springfield, MA 01104

The Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central St., Auburn is assisting the family with the arrangements.

I'm so sorry to hear of Roger's passing. He & George were such good buddies from grammar school to high school and thru early marriages and children. I know he will be greatly missed. My sympathy to you all. I will keep you in my prayers.
