Dad,

I couldn't ask for a better father than you. You spoiled me rotten. I will never forget you.

NEVER ALONE

I feel you in the morning
When at first I awake
Your thought is with me
With each decision I make

You'd been around forever
Since the first breath I took
Now I have to go on alone
But for love, I need not look

Cause by what you bestowed
In our short time together
Will last in my heart
Forever and ever

Although you've left
And now walk above
I'm never alone
I'm wrapped in your love

Enjoy now your long waited reward
Feel peace that your love continues on
What was taught to me, will be taught to mine
Cause you live on in me even after you've gone

Love,

Terry Grant

Chuck,

I hope you know how much you are truley loved and missed by all that who knew you. I am so grateful to have gotten to know you and take care of you these past two years. You were an amazing man with a very large heart, I can only hope to be a fraction of how poliet and genuine as you were. I miss your beautiful eyes, big smile, and quirky remarks. I am so glad that I got to take you out and spend quality time with you one last time the Sunday before your accident. May you rest in peace Chuck. Give Sara a kiss and a hig for me. Miss you both.

One last question.....Are the Germans really coming?!?!

Love always and forever,
Jill

Dear Grandpa,
I found a poem I wrote for you many years ago and it still holds true to this day:

GRANDPA
When I picture you
Your green eyes come to mind
How they crinkle at the corner
Sparkling with excitement.
Your smile
How it broadens
Trying unsuccessfully not to laugh
Breaking out into a mischevious grin.
Your face
How it beams
Shining with enthusiasm
Lighting up the world.
One look at you
My worries disappear
Making me feel warm and special
My heart filling with love for you.
You've given me everything
Making sure I've had the very best
But the best thing you've given
Is your love for me.
I realize I'm getting older
But we won't drift apart
Instead we'll be even closer
You'll always have a special place
in my heart.

Grandpa, I was honored and blessed to have you in my life for the past 32 years. You were more than just my Grandfather, you were the father that I never had. I was privleged to have had the opportunity to care for you the past 5 months. I would not trade it for anything in the world. I find peace in knowing that you are with Grammy; rightfully so, it is with her you always belonged. Have fun dancing, singing, and laughing in heaven. Please don't "borrow" any globes, towels, or coffee cups! I know you're Florida bound! Jiminey Crickets, I love you so, so much and thank you for the wonderful life you helped me to have.

Love,

Kit Wood

No more Jiminy Crickets...
No more Jewish homes...
No more I wanna live in Florida...
No more I cant talk, because I had a stroke...
No more Friendlys is good...
No more good one...

There will be more jiminy crickets...
But there will be no more homes...
You can live anywhere...
You can talk...
You can eat anywhere...
There will be more good ones...

You're free now...
You're not constrained anymore...
You can be with her again...

You're gone now...
Maybe not forever...
But sure is going to feel like a lifetime...
Thank you for touching my life...
Love you Chuck...say Hi to Sara for me...

I miss your laughter, fun, and gentleness.
I miss the things I used to do for you.
I miss the time, now filled with emptiness,
When each day was a stage for something new.
I miss your love, though mine for you remains,
A passion with no outlet to the sea,
A teardrop in a desert, that contains
What's left of my maternal ecstasy.
I miss your presence, like a silent chord
That anchored even solitude in grace.
I miss, for my love's labor, the reward
Of seeing some small pleasure in your face.
All these I miss, and yet they are all here
Within my heart, far more than I can bear.

Chuck,.. You were the most wonderful man I have ever had the pleasure of caring for. Since the first day I met you,..I knew there was something special about you, you could see it in your eyes. Over these past 2 yrs, you and Sara always made me feel like family and that made me feel really good. I wish I could have known you both for a much longer time, but I am happy that I had you in my life at all. I am so sad that you are gone, but at the same time, I am happy for you that you are with Sara again. I know thats where you really wanted to be, back with your loving wife, safe and happy again! You will forever be in my heart and always be My Jewish Home!!! Good One!!!! Jimney Cricket!! I love you so much Chuck!! I am going to miss you so much, I loved taking care of you, it was the most rewarding feeling to care for you, Thank you for that! Rest in Peace my friend! I will Never forget you and Sara, Ever!!! I love you both!
