Anthony Grinke Obituary

Anthony T. Grinke, 91, of Worcester died Saturday August 2 in his home.

He leaves his wife of 63 years, Catherine M. (Zukas) Grinke, three daughters, Kathleen Grinke of Stoneham; Susan M. Bernier of Worcester and Diane M. Rochette and her husband Paul of Oakham; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by two sisters, Adelle Zukas and Ann St. Martin. He was born in Worcester, a son of John and Ursula (Urblauskas) Grinke.

Mr. Grinke retired from Wyman Gordon Co. in North Grafton where he worked as the custodian of blueprints, templates and dyes. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II serving as a Tech Sergeant in the Philippines. Anthony graduated from St. John's High School where he w as an All American in Football. He received a degree in Business Administration from Becker College. He was a member of St. Casimir Church.

The funeral will be held on Wednesday August 13 from Henry-Dirsa Funeral Home, 33 Ward St, with a Mass at 11:30 am. in St. John Church, 40 Temple St. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. A calling hour will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 am. Wednesday August 13 in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to UMASS Memorial Hospice, P.O Box 2795, Worcester, MA 01613-9938.
