Alice Gonyea Obituary

Alice M.J. (Trepanier) Gonyea, 83, of Clark Street in Worcester, passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2008, in The Jewish Healthcare Center. Her husband of fifty-six years, Arthur O. Gonyea, passed away in 2001.

Alice is survived by her loving family, a daughter, Jeanne M. Gilmore and her husband David of Worcester; three sons, Richard A. Gonyea and his companion Sheila Pelow of Shrewsbury, Robert P. Gonyea and his wife Lynn of Holden, and Matthew J. Gonyea and his wife Cynthia of Oxford; a brother, Paul Trepanier of Worcester; a sister, Jeannette Marakian of Worcester; seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Alice was pre-deceased by two daughters in law, Mary Lou and Judy Gonyea, a sister, Rachel O'Neil and a brother, Leo Trepanier. Alice was born in Worcester, the daughter of Joseph A. and Marie (Demers) Trepanier, and has lived here all her life.

She was a member of Saint Joan of Arc Church.

Her funeral will be private. There are no calling hours.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Unit, fifth floor, Jewish Healthcare Center, 629 Salisbury Street, Worcester, MA 01609.
