Maguerite Persky Obituary

Maguerite Persky, 90, passed away on August 12, at Orchard Cove Retirement Community in Canton, where she resided for the past 10 years. Her husband of 37 years, Joseph Persky, died in 1980. She leaves three children, David A. Persky and his wife Marlene of Worcester, Suzanne Persky Tompkins of Weston, and Warren E. Persky of Lighthouse Point, FL, and five grandchildren, Lauren Persky, Joseph Persky, Jeffrey Persky, Adrianne Tompkins, and Julie Tompkins. She was born in Boston, raised in Worcester, and lived for over fifty years in East Brookfield surrounded by the things she loved most: her family, the flowers she arranged to fill every room of her beautiful home, and the many friends she enjoyed entertaining through the years. She was an avid reader, an accomplished golfer, and a passionate fan of her beloved Red Sox. She will be remembered as a lady in every sense of the word. A private memorial service will be held. Donations in her memory can be made to the charity of the donor's choice.

To the entire Persky family,
In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.
My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.
They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.
Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.
But of all the treasures I have, it's the memories of you that are the most precious.

Both Esther and I were so sorry to hear about your loss. We certainly understand that no matter how long we are blessed to have our parents with us, the loss is painful and sad.
Please know that our entire community shares your loss.
