Murray Rosenberg Obituary
His wife of 57 years, Frieda (Hummel) Rosenberg died in 2004. He leaves a son, Barry Rosenberg and his wife Amy of Worcester; a daughter, Sharon wife of Arthur Africk of Plainview, NY; five grandchildren, Jennifer, Jeffrey, and Rachel Rosenberg and Ethan and Ronald Africk. He was predeceased by his son Edward Ronald Rosenberg, his sister, Rose Goldstein and his brothers, Bernard and Benjamin Rosenberg.
He was born in Worcester and was a son of Zelig and Eva (Shapiro) Rosenberg and was a lifelong resident.
He was first a self employed carpenter for many years, then he was a union carpenter until the mid 1960's before he became an inspector for the Worcester Redevelopment Authority for 20 years until her retirement.
He was in the Army radio corps in Southeast Asia during World War II. He was a member of Beth Israel Synagogue and its Brotherhood, Worcester Lodge #600 of B'Nai Brith and the Irving Yarock Post #32 of the Jewish War Veterans.
Funeral Services will be held at NOON, TODAY, FRIDAY, AUGUST 15th in Perlman Funeral Home, 1026 Main St. Burial will be in Holy Society Cemetery in Leicester.
Memorial Observance will be held thru this afternoon at the residence of Barry and Amy Rosenberg, 26 Whisper Drive.
Memorial contributions may be made to Beth Israel Synagogue on Jamesbury Drive, Worcester, 01609 or to the charity of the donor's choice.

The Rosenbergs were wonderful neighbors of ours on Sussex Lane for many years. .. We enjoyed talking to Murray and having him do carpetry work for us. Our prayers and thoughts go out to his family.

Murray was anice man to my Mom and Roy and he will be missed deeply by them....I personally didn't know him but my Mom and Roy talked very fondly of him...May he rest in peace.......
