Jeanne Anctil Obituary

Jeanne B. (Monette) Anctil, 96, of 10 Old Village Rd., died Friday, Aug. 15th, in the Radius Healthcare Center, Southbridge, after an illness. Her husband of over 53 years, Oliver A. Anctil, died in 1996.

She leaves a son, Mark E. Anctil and his wife Janet of Sturbridge; a daughter, Olivia A. Jalbert and her husband Leonard of Sturbridge; five grandchildren, Marc Anctil of Southbridge, Nicole Anctil of Sturbridge, Atty. Michael Jalbert of Oxford, Melissa DiLegge of Charlton and Matthew Jalbert of Sturbridge; 7 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Leopold Monette, and two sisters, Aline Brigham and Gertrude Roulier. She was born in Southbridge the daughter of Moise and Roseanna (Theriault) Monette.

Jeanne was a computer operator in accounts receiving for the American Optical Co. in Southbridge, working there for 45 years before retiring many years ago. She was a life long communicant of Notre Dame Church in Southbridge. She was a member of the Sturbridge Senior Center and formerly a member of the Southbridge Women's Club.  She was an avid bridge player.

Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 19th, from the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St., Southbridge, with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Notre Dame Church, 446 Main St., Southbridge. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Southbridge. Calling hours in the funeral home will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 19th, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. before the Mass.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sturbridge Senior Center, P.O. Box 746, Sturbridge, MA 01566.
