Stella Foley Obituary

Stella V. (Koza) Foley, 94 of 140 Heywood St., died Friday, August 15, 2008 in UMass Memorial Medical Center - University Campus, after a brief illness. Her husband of 64 years, Earle F. Foley, a retired deputy chief with the Worcester Police Department, died January 10, 2006. She leaves a son, Robert F. Foley and his wife Kathleen of Mansfield; a brother Frank of Florida; a sister, Isabelle of Worcester; and a granddaughter, Kelly Ann Foley and her husband Christopher Nigro of Maryland. Several brothers and sisters predeceased her.

She was born and raised in Worcester, daughter of the late Anthony and Mary (Patla) Koza. She graduated from Commerce High School and the Kay Foley Ward Business School.

Stella was an accounting clerk for Norton Company where she worked for 34 years, retiring in 1979. She was a member of St. Stephen's Church.

A FUNERAL MASS will be held at 9:30 A.M. on TUESDAY, AUGUST 19, in ST. STEPHEN'S CHURCH, 357 Grafton Street. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery. There are no calling hours.

The family suggests donations in memory of Stella be made to the Salvation Army, 630 Main St., Worcester, MA 01608. KELLY FUNERAL HOME, 154 Lincoln St., is assisting the family with arrangements. Directions and condolence book available on line at
