Ronald Sauriol Obituary

Ronald R. Sauriol, 67, of Smith Rd., died Monday, August 18th at home, following an illness.

He leaves his wife of 36 years, Susan J. (Merriam) Sauriol; his son, Stephen P. Sauriol of Warren; his daughter, Kristen K. Sauriol of Charlton; his brothers, Richard J. Sauriol of Worcester and Robert J. Rossi of Leominster; his good friend, Robert McCrohon of Worcester, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was born in Worcester, son of the late Russell J. Sauriol and Lucille M. (Mineau) Sauriol Rossi and graduated from Commerce High School. He has lived in Charlton for more than 30 years.Ron worked as a driver for the Telegram & Gazette transportation department for over 20 years prior to retiring. He was an avid fisherman and loved gardening.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday August 21st from 5-8 PM at the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central St., Auburn. His funeral will be held on Friday from the funeral home with a Mass celebrated at 11:30 AM in St. Charles Borromeo Church, 341 June St., Worcester. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Auburn. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Rescue League, 139 Holden St., Worcester, MA 01606. For directions or to leave a message of sympathy for the family, please visit

Ron and I worked together at the TG for many years. He was a great guy who worked lots of hours and always did a fantastic job.
