Theresa Mae Kacmarcik

Theresa Mae Kacmarcik of East Douglas, Massachusetts died August 20th at 4:00 a.m at Tel Hai Retirement Community in Honey Brook, PA. Theresa was born at Whitinsville Hospital in Massachusetts on December 5, 1927, and resided in Douglas, Massachusetts all her life. She was the daughter of the late Jasper Travaille and Catherine Chupka Travaille.

She is survived by two sisters, Catherine Fraser of Stratford, Connecticut, and Irene Gilchrist of Phoenix, AZ. She was the faithful and loving wife of Michael J. Kacmarcik, Jr. of East Douglas, Massachusetts, and had been married for 57 years. At 80 years of age, Theresa was lovingly surrounded at her death by her husband, children and grandchildren. She is survived by her 3 children, Paul Kacmarcik of Fayetteville, NC, Michael Kacmarcik of Chester, VA, and Pamela Rhoads of Dowingtown, PA; their spouses, Carol Kacmarcik, Julie Kacmarcik, and Tom Rhoads, respectively; and grandchildren: Jennifer and Jonathan Kacmarcik, Mark and Michael Kacmarcik, and Tom, Tracy, and Peter Rhoads, respectively; Theresa was a devout member of St. Dennis Catholic Church. Known for her gentile and gracious nature, her kindness left an impression on everyone that knew her.

Her funeral will be held Mon. Aug. 25 from Jackman Funeral Home, 7 Mechanic St. with a Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Denis Church, 23 Manchaug Rd. Burial will follow in St. Denis Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home in Douglas are Sun. Aug. 24 from 5 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Douglas Firefighter's Assoc. Box 523 Douglas, MA 01516.
