Emily Hay Obituary

Emily (Hansen) Hay, 77, of High Ridge Road, died in Rose Monahan Hospice, after a prolonged illness.

Emily's husband of 24 years, Alden J. Hay, died in 1999. Until his death, she and her husband owned and operated Thunderbird Corp., a company they had founded specializing in industrial marking equipment.

She was born in Worcester, daughter of Arthur M. and Agnes F. (Walsh) Hansen and lived most of her life in Holden. Her brother, Arthur "Red" Hansen of Millbury, predeceased her. She was a graduate of Classical High School and Boston University.

A private graveside service was held on Friday, August 22 in Hope Cemetery, Worcester. Memorial contributions may be made to VNA Care Hospice, 120 Thomas Street, Worcester, MA 01608. Funeral arrangements were under the care of Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden.
