Louise Johnson Obituary

Louise E. (Ellis) Johnson, of 18 Bailey Rd., died on Sunday, August 24, 2008 in her home.

She leaves her husband of 59 years, Gordon R. Johnson; a daughter, Linda Taylor and her husband David of Holden; a son, Russell W. Johnson and his wife Nancy of Spencer; a grandson, Patrick Johnson of Spencer; nephews and nieces. Two sisters, Mildred Hills and Blanche McCauley, predeceased her. She was born in West Brookfield the daughter of Roy A. and Ethel M. (Wilbur) Ellis and lived most of her life in Holden.

Louise graduated from Holden High School in 1946 and was a life time member of the First Baptist Church of Holden. She was a member of Cradle Rock Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star in Barre.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, August 26th in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden. A funeral service for Louise will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery, North Brookfield. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Holden, 1216 Main St., Holden, MA 01520.
