Janet Hammond Obituary
She leaves her husband of 46 years, Robert Daniel Hammond; a son, Robert David Hammond; a daughter, Debra (Hammond) and her husband Daniel Donovan of Paxton; a granddaughter, Tina Hammond of Worcester; a sister, Evelyn (Ferrandino) Palmer of Boylston and a sister-in-law, Rose Anne (Leary) Ferrandino of Rutland; nieces, nephews and many friends. Her brother, Robert Ferrandino, predeceased her in 1996.
She was born in Worcester, the third and youngest child of Mary C. (Napoli) and Anthony Ferrandino and lived almost her entire life in West Boylston. She graduated from West Boylston High School in 1958 and attended Salter's Secretarial School. She was employed for the last 22 years at the law offices of (the late) Attorney Joanne Garabedian and Christopher Monroy.
The family would like to acknowledge the compassionate staff of Holy Trinity Nursing & Rehabilitation Center who cared for both her and her family during Janet's brief stay.
At Janet's request, there will be no funeral or calling hours. A memorial Mass will be held at St. Christopher's Church, 950 West Boylston St., Worcester at 10 AM Saturday October 4th. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718. www.cancer.org

I knew Janet many years ago when I worked at St. Christopher's and was a neighbor on Bowles ave. The world has lost a kind, kind loving woman. My condolences to her husband and cildren.
