Steven Sondheim once wrote that all we leave behind in this life is "children and art". I never met Sue, but I know her son, and he stands as a testament to the fact that Sue's time on this earth was surely well spent. I have no doubt that she was immensely proud of the fine gentleman that he has become. I am saddened that I never got to know Sue, but I am proud to call her son my friend. Bill, my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Sue's death has come as a great shock. She was a favorite in our aqua exercise class on Saturday mornings, with her signature cup of Dunkin Donuts coffee. She and I had great fun discussing our grown children and sympathizing about how difficult it is to have them so far from us.
My condolences to the family. Please know she will be sorely missed by our Saturday group.

Dear Billy and family,
Your Mom was so proud of you and was a wonderful,joy-filled woman. Her laugh was contagious and she brightened everyone's life.We miss her now and will miss her at Christmas especially as she was always an integral part of our yearly parties. She will be missed and always remebered as the life and light of the party. Our lives will be dimmer now. May your happy memories help you through this most difficult time. God Bless you and give you strength.May she rest in a well deserved peace.

Bill, Carol & Billy,
My heartfelt thoughts and ongoing prayers are with each of you with your loss of your dear sister and mother. While I hadn't seen Susan in many years, I have absolutely wonderful memories (that I will always treasure) of Susan (and all of your family) being so caring, loving and giving to me in my youth. I hope in the days ahead that each of you will find great comfort in all of your wonderful memories of Susan. I will think of her often and smile. My thoughts are with each of you during these difficult days.

Bill, Carol and Uncle Bill,

I'm so sorry and am so sad. I was impacted by her lessons and thoughtfulness constantly. Yesterday I went to the Sandy River and sat with Joe and thought of so many great memories. She was my den mother, my ‘mom’ at your house and instrumental in the adult I’ve become. I remember her conviction about me not following a military path. Her line was, ‘Patrick Torrey, you don’t like anyone telling you what to do, how do you think you would do with everyone telling you what to do?’ I thought of her the day I started my own business and realized how right she was. My thoughts and love are with you all.

Love,

Pat
