It is now 2021, and I have only accidentally learned that my friend Scott passed away years ago. He was my fraternity brother at Ripon College, and a nicer, friendlier, more decent person is hard to imagine. I am very fortunate to have known him.

Although many years have passed since I last visited with Scott, I will always carry fond memories of his kindness and thoughtfulness. I was privileged to have gone to high school with Scott. I always admired and respected him, and I know he is missed terribly by all that knew him. He was a rare and special person.

It is a terrible shock to learn of Scott's passing. Although I knew him only briefly through high school sports, Scott was an enormously talented and unselfish athlete. His teammates on the football, baseball and hockey teams will always remember Scott as a born leader and a caring human being. My thoughts and prayers go out to Scott's family.

I was deeply saddened to learn of Scott's passing. While the years are many since our last conversation, I can still call to mind his contagious laugh and selfless demeanor for the welfare of his friends; which were plentiful. My life, like so many others, was profoundly enriched by his having befriended me.

Our thoughts are with you and your family at this sad time. It's hard to imagine losing two family members in such a short time. Although we did not know your family, we know you were very close to all of them. We hope that some of the wonderful memories you have will help you through this difficult time and in the weeks and months ahead.

Dear Watson Family,
Although I have not seen Scott in many years I have fond memories of my skiing outings with him and Nancy when I was kindly invited with his sister and my friend Ann. His humor and smile always stayed with me. I would also like to express my sympathy and prayers to the whole Watson family as I have just heard the sad news of their mother passing. I was fortunate to have known many of the Watsons and still smile at the mention of the name. God bless all of you as you say good bye to your loved ones this week.

To be able to tell Scott that I didn't get lost on the way to your house, and to hear the teasing laughter that came through that smile, always gave me the biggest smile of my day. Wine, milkshakes & stories. I'm honored to be a part of your family's lives. I love you.
