Evelyn Allen Obituary

Evelyn (Carlson) Cole Allen, 86 of 881 South Rd., died Saturday, August 30, 2008 in St. Vincent Hospital. She is predeceased by her first husband, Walter Cole and her husband, Gardner Allen. She leaves a son, Frank Cole of Spencer and a daughter, Ann Larrabee of Oakham; 9 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and a great great granddaughter. She was predeceased by a daughter, Linda Huckins and a granddaughter, Jessica. Evelyn was born in Ware, the daughter of Henry & Beatrice (Hardy) Carlson and has lived most of her life in Oakham. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 8, 2008 at 1:00 PM in Pine Grove Cemetery, Old Turnpike Rd., Oakham. Pillsbury Funeral Home, 96 S. Barre Rd., Barre is directing arrangements.

We are so sorry to hear about your Mom. Evelyn worked for us at the Rutland Variety Store back in the 70's and we loved her so much. She was a wonderful person. Our prayers are with you.

Frank and Annie,
