Cheryl Kerans Obituary

Cheryl A. Kerans, 56, of Worcester, died Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2008 in the Autumn Village Nursing Center after an illness.

She leaves a son, Jesse J. Kerans and her mother, Ann L. (Boyle) Kerans of Worcester. Her father, Howard J. Kerans Jr. died in 1961.

Cheryl was born in Worcester. She graduated from Doherty High School and Worcester State College.

Cheryl was a records clerk for 12 years in the Radiology Dept. at St. Vincent Hospital, retiring due to health reasons. She enjoyed sewing and crocheting.

Calling hours are Friday, Sept. 5 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., Worcester, The funeral will be Saturday, Sept. 6 from the funeral home with a Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Charles Borromeo Church, 341 June St., Worcester. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Autumn Village Activities Fund, 25 Oriol Dr., Worcester 01605 or VNA Hospice, 120 Thomas St., Worcester 01608.

Dear Mrs Kerans and family!

Given the situation, Cheryl always managed to have a smile on her face. Yes, we also cried a couple times. Her courage and determination was truly inspirational.
