Edmond Bachand Obituary
He leaves three nephews, Gerard E., Normand L. and Paul V. Bachand and two nieces, Lorraine P. and Lucille C. Bachand as well as grand and great-grand nieces and nephews and several cousins. He was predeceased by three brothers and a sister, Armand A., Ernest C. and Laurent V. Bachand and Cecile B. Peloquin. He was born and raised in Worcester, son of Victor A. and Josephine (Duquette) Bachand. He resided in Millbury for several years before returning to Worcester, where he lived for most of his life.
Mr. Bachand was a welder for Norton Co., and worked there for more than 35 years before retiring. He was also a Millbury Auxiliary Police officer for many years, and belonged to the Greendale Retired Men's Club. He was a member of St. Joseph Church, now Holy Family Parish, and was an active member of the parishioner group formed to "Save St. Joseph Church"
The funeral will be held on Friday, Sept. 12, from DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St, with a Mass at 10:00 am, in St. Joseph Church, 35 Hamilton St. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours in the funeral home are Thursday, Sept. 11, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Flowers may be sent or memorial contributions may be made to The Audio Journal, 799 West Boylston St., Worcester, Ma., 01606.

My deepest sympathy to Edmond's family and friends. I did not know the gentleman but by his picture he must have been funloving. We are distant relatives so I thought I'd send my regrets. I lost my dad 2 years ago and still miss him dearly.

Edmond was truly an inspirational person. He always maintained a sense of humor, optimistic outlook, and despite all, he always stood proud and maintained his independence, yet not alone. Our heartfelt sympathy to his family.
