Charlotte Scavone Obituary

Charlotte P. (Power) Curran Scavone, of Worcester, died Sunday, September 7th in the Life Care Center of Auburn. Her first husband, Robert T. Curran, died in 1977. Her second husband, James J. Scavone, died in 1990. She leaves a son, Jay B. Curran and his wife, Margaret of Duxbury; three daughters, Charlene Walsh and her husband, Peter of Vienna, VA and Falmouth, Roberta M. Tyburski and her husband, George of Charlton, and Bernadette Curran and her husband, Richard Bennett of Epping, NH; a brother, Robert F. Power of Cherry Valley; 7 grandchildren, Bridget, Sean, Robert, Vanessa, Kyle, Alexandra and Teagan; and many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her brother, Francis E. Power and two sisters, Dorothea and Bernice Power. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Frank W. and Mae R. (Quinlan) Power and graduated from Classical High School. Mrs. Scavone was a member of Christ the King Church and enjoyed shopping and dining out. Charlotte's family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of the Gardenia Court at the Life Care Center of Auburn for the care and love given to Charlotte while in their care. The funeral is Friday, September 12th from O'CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Christ the King Church, 1052 Pleasant Street. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday, September 11th, from 4:00 until 7:00 PM in the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the Life Care Center of Auburn, Activities Department, 14 Masonic Circle, Auburn, MA 01501.
