Robert Bennet Obituary

Robert A. Bennett, Jr., 72, passed away Tuesday peacefully at home. He leaves his wife of 27 years, Alice Jean (Williamson) Bennett. His first wife, Jennie (Denio) Bennett died in 1979. He also leaves his sons, Robert J. Bennett and his wife Marge of Webster, Richard A. Bennett and his wife Janet of Oxford, Kenneth J. Carson and his wife Mary of Framingham; two daughters, Pebbles J. Carson and her fiancé Bernie Baldwin of Holland, Susan M. Ricard and her fiancé David Gardner of Webster; his brother, Phillip Bennett and his wife Elizabeth of Oxford; 16 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. A son, Craig Carson died in 1997.

He was born in Oxford the son of Robert A. and Frances (Nebozny) Bennett and has lived in Webster since 1987. Robert worked for 30 years for area fuel distributors retiring in 1989. He was a member of the Carnival Glass Collectors and served as a board member. Robert enjoyed his family, woodworking and antiquing.

The funeral will be Saturday, Sept. 13 at 10:00 at CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St., Worcester. Visiting hours will be Friday, Sept. 12 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be private. For directions and online guest book please visit
