Alice Harding Obituary

Alice "Rita" (Sayers) Harding, 86, of Worcester passed away Mon., Sept. 15, in Parson Hills Nursing Center.

Her husband Edward T. Harding died in 1963. She leaves three children, Thomas W. and his wife Betty Anne Harding of Cherry Valley, Peggy and her husband Allen Kelley of Worcester and Edward T. Harding of Lincoln, RI; four grandchildren, Lisa Davin, Thomas "TJ" Harding, Sean Kelley and Ryan Kelley and five great-grandchildren. She was born in Worcester, daughter of William and Margaret (Reidy) Sayers and graduated from St. Peter's High School and David Hale Fanning School.

Alice was a Nurse for the former Worcester City Hospital. She was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Church and enjoyed bingo.

The funeral will be held on Thurs., Sept. 18 from Callahan & Fay Brothers Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle St., with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main St. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. Visiting Hours are Wed., Sept. 17 from 5-8 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to, Hospice of Western Mass., 101 Plantation St., Worcester, 01604. alice was a nice caring and kind person as well as a nurse it was a pleasure to see her smile and concern for patient at city hospital i worked there and knew her well she will be sorely missed by family and friend eternal rest of her soul amen
