Ann Mastrogiovanni Obituary

Ann M. "Nina" (Russo) Mastrogiovanni, 84, formerly of Shrewsbury passed away Monday, September 15th 2008 in the Holy Trinity long-term care center.

Ann's husband of 56 years, former Shrewsbury Police Officer, Peter A. Mastrogiovanni passed away in 2000. Ann is survived by her daughter, Frances A. King and her husband Charles with whom she lived; two sons, Peter A. Mastrogiovanni of Auburn and Joseph M. Mastrogiovanni of Shrewsbury; two sisters, Tina Gorman of Shrewsbury and Gloria Johnson of Worcester; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Ann was born in Siana, province of Salerno, Italy, a daughter of Joseph and Josephine (Alfano) Russo and lived in Shrewsbury all her life before moving in with her daughter, four years ago. She was a member of St. Anne's Church.

Ann's funeral mass will be celebrated Wednesday, September 17th at 11:00 a.m. in St. Anne's Church, 130 Boston Turnpike Rd. Shrewsbury. Burial will be private. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the St. Anne's Church, Human Services, 130 Boston Turnpike Rd. Shrewsbury, 01545. The MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. is honored to assist the family with arrangements.
