Rose Ann Russell Rose

Rose Rose Obituary

Rose Ann Sarah Russell Rose, loving mother, grandmother and friend who was known for her quick wit and love of animals, passed away on Monday, September 15 in Worcester. She was 86.

Rose Ann was born on December 7, 1921 to Armen and Ganon Nanigian, both from Armenia, in Worcester. She attended Commerce High School and completed two years at the Salter Secretarial School. She then went on to work for General Electric for over forty years. In her retirement, Rose Ann worked at Peoples Bank, volunteered at Memorial Hospital and traveled the world. Rose Ann particularly enjoyed taking the entire family on trips, burning time and money at the casinos, and caring for her Cairn Terrier, Chloe.

Rose Ann was widowed after the death of her first husband, Joseph M. Russell and remarried many years later to James C. Rose. Rose Ann was pre-deceased by her two brothers, Jacob and John; her grandson, Christopher Stanton; and her two dogs Pitou and Jadoo.

Rose Ann leaves her two daughters, Jo Ann Stanton and Robin Ring; four grandchildren, Adam, Emily, Elizabeth, and Mollie; four nieces, Carol, Barbara, Jo Ann, and Susan; two wonderful dogs, Rex and Chloe; and many friends.

A memorial service is scheduled for Wednesday, September 17 at 11AM at Caswell-King Funeral Home, 474 Grove St. in Worcester. Friends may visit with the family on Wed. evening from 4-7 p.m. at 17 Wesleyan Terrace, Shrewsbury. My deepest sympathy to the Stanton and Ring Family. Rose Ann was a special person and it was a joy to have known her. She loved her family and was proud of them. We spent many hours together at MacDonald's...talking and laughing.
I know I speak for Arek, also, when I say, we will miss Rose Ann, dearly.
In later years, she was my e-mail buddy. Rest in Peace, Rose Ann. You will always bring a smile to my face when I think of you.

Dear Emily and Family, I was deeply saddened to hear about Rose. Even though I was only lucky enough to meet her once she made quite a lasting impression. Just talking to her made me smile. She was a happy soul and I was blessed to have met her. I feel your pain. Love, Linda
