Henry L. "Hank" Mossman

Henry "Hank" L. Mossman died September 13, 2008 at home, surrounded by his family, after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born in Worcester on October 21, 1930. He graduated from Melrose High School in 1948 and Northeastern University in 1953. He was a lieutenant in the US Army during the Korean War, and worked at Bay State Abrasives, retiring as Director of Engineering Operations in 1988. He and Irene J. Norris were married August 27, 1955.

He leaves his wife of 53 years, and their children, Paul Mossman, Nancy Gavel and her husband Peter, and Julie Holland; his grandchildren, James, Katherine, Christian, and Shannon; his brothers, Edward and Philip; his mother-in-law, Everlena Lyman Norris; his sister-in-law, Carol Norris Reynolds, and her children, Robert, Raymond, Ralph and Richard; and countless other family and friends.

Hank loved to sail, hunt, fish, garden and work with his hands to build, carve and repair just about anything. He and Irene traveled extensively after their retirement in 1988, spending their winters in southern Texas.

A memorial service is being planned for October 4th at 12:00 p.m. at Trinity Church, 23 Main Street, Northborough. There are no calling hours.
