Grace L. Anas

Grace L. (George) Anas, 83, of Worcester died on Wednesday, September 17th in Saint Vincent Hospital after a short illness surrounded by her family.

Her husband of 40 years, Thoma P. "Maqo" Anas died in 1990. Mrs. Anas is survived by a son, Philip R. Anas and his wife Elaine of Worcester; three daughters, Barbara J. Sylvia and her husband Michael of Waban, MA, Tina M. McNamara and her husband Bruce of Auburn and Diane L. Anas and her companion Deborah Thomas of Auburn; two sisters, Annie George of Brockton, MA and Julia Tasi of Worcester; seven grandchildren, Michael and Keri Sylvia, Philip Jr., Elizabeth Cora, and Thoma Anas, and Molly and Jamie McNamara, and many nephews and nieces.

Grace was born in Brockton, MA daughter of the late John and Cora (Bibi) George and attended the Brockton Schools. She is predeceased by a brother Peter George and a sister Mary Dhimitri.

Mrs. Anas owned Commercial Fruit, a family business with her husband. She was a member of St. Mary's Assumption Albanian Orthodox Church and enjoyed time with her children and grandchildren, especially attending and watching their sports activities. For the last five years she attended Summit Elder Care.

The funeral will be held on Monday, September 22nd from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home, 12 Hammond St. with a Funeral Service at 10 AM in St. Mary's Assumption Albanian Orthodox Church, 535 Salisbury St. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours are on Sunday, September 21st from 5 to 8 PM in the funeral home with a Trisagion Service at 7 PM.
