Sister Kathleen was my eighth grade teacher at Saint Mary's School in Southbridge. In those days she was known as Sister John Robert and wore the traditional Sisters of Saint Joseph habit. Sister was very strict - she pulled no punches. I remember her patrolling the schoolyard at lunch recess with her white stick. In her words, she had a "paddle and a good left." She was a good teacher, had high standards, and wanted everyone to do their best. I will always remember her.

I will always remember Sister Kathleen. She was my eighth grade teacher at St. Mary's of Uxbridge. I will remember her singing in church and many of her phrases: "I can hear the grass grow" and others. She was hard working and cared for her students. I am sure she has been accepted to heaven with open arms.... Susan (Potter) Alix

Father Damian said it all - well done Sister!
The matriarch to so many, but "oh" so humble. A teacher, confidant and friend who had a "Mary" heart in a "Martha" world yet always seemed to find a balance.
My prayers are with you my friend and with your family -
You will truly be missed, but always with us!

Sister Kathleen will be missed greatly.
Our prayers go out to your entire family; both at the Sister's of Saint Joseph and to your brother and sister.

May the angels lead you into paradise, May the martyrs come to welcome you and lead you to the holy city the new and eternal Jerusalem, May the choirs of angels welcome you and lead you to the bosom of Abraham, Where Lazarus is poor no longer may you find eternal rest.
Well done Sister Kathleen!

Sister will be sadly missed by all of her friends from the Blackstone Valley. Sister enjoyed her daily walks to St's General Store for her morning cup of coffee with her "coffee club fans",and her walks with her neighbors dogs.We will all miss her "words of wisdom".
