Joseph De Vries Obituary

Joseph A. De Vries, 78, of Providence Road, passed away Sat. ,Sept. 20, 2008 in St. Camillus Health Center, Whitinsville. He was the husband of Virginia C. (Dion) De Vries.

A resident of Linwood for over 50 years, Mr. De Vries owned and operated De Vries Construction in Uxbridge for many years. He was born in Whitinsville, the son of the late Andrew and Wilhelmina (De Boer) De Vries.

In addition to his wife of 57 years, he is survived by a son, Jody J. De Vries of Linwood; a daughter, Andrea R. and her husband Craig Pincins of Linwood; a brother, George De Vries of Westborough; 2 sisters, Catherine Teeter of Harrisonburg, VA and Cynthia Riedle of Torrance, CA; 6 grandchildren, including Corey and Randy Pincins, Elizabeth Bessette and Jennifer De Vries, and Angela and Lori De Vries; a great-granddaughter, Madeline Bessette; and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Andrew J. De Vries.

The family would like to thank the entire staff, including Fr. Jack Gallagher, of St. Camillus Health Center for their care and compassion.

Funeral services will be private. Arrangements are under the direction of Buma Funeral Homes, Uxbridge.
