Mildred Tirrell Obituary

Mildred L. (Booth) Tirrell, 90, of East St., died Thursday, September 18, 2008 in Quaboag on the Common in West Brookfield.

She leaves one son, Warren E. Tirrell, Jr. and his wife Jill of Warren; one daughter, Barbara A. Parker of Leominster; 4 grandchildren, Tammy, Lynn, Lisa and Benjamin III; 8 great-grandchildren, Nathan, Tiffany, Matthew, Adam, Corey, Dustin, Sydney and Andrew; one great-great-grandson, Bryson and many nieces and nephews. Her husband of 50 years, Warren E. Tirrell died in 1988. She was born and grew up in Brimfield, daughter of the late Hubert and Myrtie (Jennings) Booth and lived most of her life in Warren. She graduated from the Hitchcock Free Academy in Brimfield. Mrs. Tirrell worked for Warren Pumps in Warren for 15 years in the billing department before retiring in 1975. She was a member of the former Warren Federated Church where she was very active in the church and their Women's Guild. She was also a member of the Warren Grange and the Eastern Star.

A Funeral Service for Mildred will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2008 at 11:00 AM in the First Congregational Church, 36 North Main St., West Brookfield. Calling hours will be held Friday, Sept. 26, 2008 from 5 to 7 PM in the Varnum Funeral Home, Inc., 43 East Main St., West Brookfield. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery in Warren. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701 or to the Warren Fire Dept. Ambulance, PO Box 608, Warren, MA 01083.
