Martha Tyre Obituary

Martha A. (Anderson) Tyre, 90, passed away Saturday, September 20, 2008, at the Kaplan Family Hospice in Danvers. Her husband of 54 years, Lemuel W. Tyre, died in 2001. She leaves a daughter, Beverly J. Tyre-Flanagan and her husband John of Danvers; a son, Kenneth Tyre of Worcester; two grandsons, Francis McConville, Jr., and Carl D. Nystedt and his wife Melissa - all of Salem; a sister, Esther Werme and her husband Carl of Worcester; a brother, Carl P. Anderson and his wife Priscilla of Walpole; a cousin, Mildred Johnson of Worcester; and several nephews and nieces. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Carl D. and Anna L. (Jonasson) Anderson. She was a life-long member of Salem Covenant Church.

Funeral services will be held at Salem Covenant Church, Wednesday, Sept. 24, at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Please omit flowers. Memorial donations may be made to Salem Covenant Church, 215 E. Mountain St., Worcester, MA 01606. Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St., Worcester is directing arrangements.
