Tuure Isokungas Obituary

Tuure Olavi "Ollie" Isokungas, 55 of Fitchburg, died at Health Alliance Leominster Hospital.

"Ollie" was born in Kannus, Finland June 20, 1953 the son of Tuure T. and Kirsti (Peitso) Isokungas and came to the United States and Fitchburg in 1963. He was employed as a carpenter by Seppala and Aho Construction Co. in New Ipswich, N.H. until his retirement in 1993 due to illness. "Ollie" loved sports, hunting, fishing and all the professional Boston teams. He loved woodworking and wood carving. He was a Nascar enthusiast and enjoyed working on his Bronco truck. He was a former member of the Marconi Club.

"Ollie" leaves his brother and sister-in-law with whom he lived, Henry Armas and his wife Jane Isokungas and his niece Kirsti S. Isokungas. His brother Osmo Isokungas died in 1976.

Funeral services and burial were private. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association 330 Congress St. 5th floor, Boston, Ma. 02110. Bosk Funeral Home 85 Blossom St. is assisting the family.
