Philip Bourget Obituary

Philip F. Bourget, 70, of 32 Hospital Hill Road, Gardner, died peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, September 27, 2008 in Wachusett Manor, Gardner.

He leaves his children whom he loved dearly, Robert Bourget of Holden, and Debra, Donna and Doreen Bourget; four brothers, Thomas S. Bourget, Jr. and his wife Cathy of Fayetteville, NC, Lawrence E. Bourget and his wife Mary of Millbury, Richard J. Bourget, Sr. of Worcester, and Albert R. Bourget and his wife Gale of Holden; a sister, Rosemarie Direnzo and her husband John Direnzo, Sr. of Millbury; nephews and nieces. He was born in Worcester, son of Thomas S. and Katharine I. (Vassar) Bourget, Sr., and lived in Worcester until moving to Gardner.

Phil was a graduate of Worcester Boys Trade High School and the Mass. State Police Academy for campus police. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves. He worked in security at both the College of the Holy Cross and Worcester State Hospital; and worked at Sabo's Getty Gas Station in Worcester and several years at the Belmont Home. Phil enjoyed long walks, ice cream, and spending time with the staff and residents at Wachusett Manor. While a resident in the nursing home, he loved the many excursions with his niece, Jennifer Bourget.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, September 30th, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden. The funeral service for Phil will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, October 1st, in the funeral home with burial following in St. John's Cemetery, Worcester. Memorial donations may be made American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.

DOREEN -- I live in -- FLORIDA --
although NOT by choice!!

AND

I have "chronic/incurable illnesses"

AND

thank you for REMINDING ME --

about how fun-loving he was!

I " am in a VERY SAD situation ", as

' my father -- EDDY BOURGET '
of the former --

BOURGET BROS. garage on
Rt. 20 in WORCESTER -

passed last year,

MAR-11-2007, at age 87

-- AND --

he would have been 88

on his next B-DAY, "APRIL 9th" --

" MY DAD ", as was your DAD, was
such a --

" BEAUTIFUL, FRIENDLY, SWEET "

that I --

" CANNOT STOP GRIEVING HIM !! "

there are "MANY BOURGETs" now
looking down on -- "ALL OF US" --

(aren't we LUCKY!!!) having a good
OLD TIME -- as they usually did,

I just want to thank all the people that touch my dads hearts in the past years. He was fun loving man he never let any thing bother him he took life as it was. that was all, he brought smile laughter and tears to many of us he will be remember by me still as my dad. he is in a better place now he will watch over us until we meet again when you feel sad just try to think of one of his jokes and laugh out loud he will hear you.take care of each other and stay healthy and enjoy life every day
