I just found out from Barry about what happened, I left Jacksonville on 9/12/08 and you were still alive. Two weeks after I left, you were prematurely taken from this earth and you will be missed. I know that you are in a better place and are happy. My condolences to your mom, I can't imagine the pain that she is going through. What I can say is that you were a genuinely good person and I have no doubt where you reside now. Until we meet again my friend, Good Bye.

There are no words that can truly express what a tragic loss we all feel. Pat was one of my boyfriend's best friends and neighbor and saw him everyday. My daughter adored Pat and asked about him all the time. He was a special individual indeed and we will all miss him and his loving, gentle heart for the rest of our lives. Our heart goes out to his mother and to Big Pat! Pat will not be forgotten!

Dear Cousin Pat - We were proud to have you in the Donnelly family here is a little irish prayer for you...God Bless you and you dear family always
Death is nothing at all.
It does not count.
I have only slipped away into the next room.
Everything remains as it was.
The old life that we lived so fondly together is untouched, unchanged.
Whatever we were to each other, that we are still.
Call me by the old familiar name.
Speak of me in the easy way which you always used.
Put no sorrow in your tone.
Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes that we enjoyed together.
Play, smile, think of me, pray for me.
Let my name be ever the household word that it always was.
Let it be spoken without effort
Life means all that it ever meant. It is the same as it ever was.
There is unbroken continuity.
Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?
I am but waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near, just around the corner.
All is well. Nothing is hurt; nothing is lost.
One brief moment and all will be as it was before.
How we shall laugh at the trouble of parting, when we meet again.

Love Cousin Frannie

Dear Aunt Kathy, Uncle Pat and Uncle Ray,

Patrick has made such an impression on my life. There were more friends and family at his funeral than I have ever seen. That goes to show you how many lives he has really touched!! I always looked forward to seeing Pat when he would come down to Ft. Pierce. It was like I really didn't care if we had a huge weekend planned because I knew no matter what we did, we would have a blast and Pat made sure of it!! He always took into consideration others feelings and wants before his own. I can only hope that my little boy Joseph Michael will have the same gentle, caring, inteligent, outgoing and never settling for just anything characteristics that Pat had. May God bless you!
Patrick,
I love you all the way to heaven and back! Always and Forever cousins!!

Goodbyes are not forever
And nor is it the end
When angels come to call away
A loved one or a friend.
The empty place that's left behind
Within this world we know
Reminds us just how brief a stay
We have before we go.
So, when it's time to bid farewell
To one we'll dearly miss
Let's just say we'll meet again
and promise them with this......
The true gift is that love remains
Although we now must part....
Until forever and beyond
I'll keep you in my heart.

**********
I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.
My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.
They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.
Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.
But of all the treasures I have, it's the memories of you that are the most precious.

Pat was one of the most charismatic, thoughtful, kind-hearted and genuine person I’ve ever met. He had an ability to make any bad or stressful situation light; with the cutest side smile and a big bear hug from those strong arms.
