Virginia Thompson-Reynolds Obituary

Virginia "Ginger" L. Thompson-Reynolds, 56, of Worcester, passed away with her daughters by her side Saturday, September 27th in UMass Memorial Healthcare Center after a short illness.

She leaves three sons, James G. Reynolds and his wife Toni of Baldwinville, NY, and Sean R. and Joseph M. Reynolds both of Auburn; two daughters, Dena M. Reynolds and Brenda A. (Reynolds) Grady and her husband James, all of Auburn; four brothers, Gordon Thompson and his wife Judy of Charlton, Emil "Butch" Thompson of Worcester, Donald Thompson of North Groversdale, CT and James Thompson of Spencer; her ex-husband and friend, James A. Reynolds of Auburn; three grandsons; four granddaughters. Two brothers, Ozzie and John Thompson, her sister, Jacqueline "Jackie" Fleming and her grandson Daniel James Reynolds predeceased her.

She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Roy and Virginia A. (Neville) Thompson.

Ms. Thompson-Reynolds was employed by Friendly's for several years as a manager and waitress. She loved the snow, going to the beach, doing arts and crafts with her children, thunderstorms, cribbage and spending time with family and friends.

Calling hours are Saturday, October 4th from Noon until 2:00 PM with a service to follow in O'CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
