Dear Franny & Family,

Kenny & I are very sorry to hear about your loss. It's been a long time since we have been together, but we will alway remember the good times we had at the UPS gatherings. And the time we visited you when you lived in Millbury. Lena was always fun to be with and made everybody feel welcome. Fran we are in Fl at this time and can't attend her wake, but you are in our thoughts and prayers. Please accept our condolenses.

I remember 1 day at the house playing with Doris probably aggravating the boys, and Bud & Beav told us to go and count mufflers on Rt 146. Being very gullible, I thought about what they said for a minute and then ran to Ma to tell her what they said. She gave me a hug and said, “Don’t you worry, if my boys bother you, you just let me know” – That spoke volumes about her – just a simple hug and she could make everything ok. Years later while home from college, I stopped by the house and she & I sat in Doris’ room and shared memories of her – very comforting, very special. When we came out, Ma asked me if I was hungry, did I want something to eat – I said sure. Her response – “well you know where the refrigerator is, I’m not your maid.” That spoke volumes also – everyone was welcome in her home like a family member – all the time. Ma – all of you special qualities will last a lifetime through your children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and so on. You truly had an “Amazing Grace” about you – I love you all -

Terry and I send our most heartfelt condolences to all of you. Terry was part of your family, and knew Lena longer than I, but you all took me in as part of your family, and showed me love and friendship, as I have never known. That in itself tells me the kind of person she was, because of the kind of people you are! I knew Lena well enough to know that Family meant everything to her, and although she is no longer here in body, she will always live on in spirit through all of you. I lost my Mom a few years ago, and I know that she is looking after me and my family from where she is, and it should be a comfort to you, to know that Lena is, as she always has, looking after all of you from where she is. God bless, and we love you all and are thinking of you, especially Fran, and will be there if you need anything at all.

It will be the little things
that you will remember,
the quiet moments,
the smiles, the laughter.
And although it may seem
hard right now,
it will be the memories
of these little things
that help to push
away the pain
and bring the smiles
back again.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Gram was an amazing woman and she will be missed more than anything.

With much love...

Mere words could never express the sorrow and pain our family feels at losing one of the best people we have ever known. She was like a mother to Susan and I, a granma to our children, and we all loved her very, very much and will continue to love her till the day that we depart this life. We know that she is surely in heaven and her pain has ceased. She was taken to the Lord much too soon, and we can never know why. Please know that our prayers were with her then and are with her now. She loved her family with all her heart and soul and and love like that never passes away. Fran, Bud, Beaver, Max and Mini, her love is and will always be with you, as well as your spouses, children, friends and family. We are all better persons for having her as our friend, and will honor her memory by continuing to be the kind of people she wanted us to be.

Love,
The Burbury's

My family (Richard and Shirley Letendre) lived next to the Dupre's until I was 12 years old (1992). Although I was young, I have many fond memories of Lena and am truly sorry for your loss.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

As sad as I am that you are gone, I can't help but be happy that you're with your special angel now. Doris has been waiting for 25 years to see you again and now you're together.

Even though it brings us pain, we are comforted by the fact that she is no longer suffering. Along with the sweet memories we will treasure, we smile knowing she is forever watching over all of us. I love you, Gram!
