John May Obituary

John F. May, 77, of Temecula, CA, formerly of Millbury, MA, died Saturday, Oct. 25th in California.

He leaves a son, Tony May of San Diego, CA; three daughters, Linda Hopkins, Tina Young and Anna May all of Temecula, CA; five grandchildren; his former wife, Sophia Sadler of Temecula, CA; four brothers, Francis May of Millbury, Martin May of Lakeland, FL, Robert May of Palm Springs, CA and Kevin May of Long Beach, CA; twelve sisters, Sr. Virginia May of the Sisters of St. Francis in Allegany, NY, Helen Norton, Elizabeth Coleman, Grace May, Maureen May, Barbara Boria and Regina Bleau all of Millbury, Marion Falcone of Shrewsbury, Catharine Lapointe of Worcester, Mary Congdon of Southbridge, Sheila Courchaine of North Brookfield and Margaret May of South Yarmouth; and many nieces and nephews. John was born in Millbury and is predeceased by his parents, John F. and Anna G. (Kelliher) May and three brothers, William D. May, Lawrence J. May and Howard B. May.

Mr. May attended Millbury High School and he served in the U.S. Air Force. After his military service, he settled in California and worked for Pacific Bell for 10 years and Time Warner Cable, until his retirement. The family would like to acknowledge his caregiver, Jo Jo Esparanza, for his dedicated service through John's extended illness.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 15th in St. Brigid Church, 59 Main St. in Millbury, MA. A funeral service was held in California. Mulhane Home for Funerals in Millbury is assisting with local arrangements. Condolence book and directions available at:
