Colin Mitchell Obituary

Colin A. Mitchell, 66, of Oxford died Oct. 28, 2008 in his home. His wife, Marilyn C. (Sjogren) Mitchell died in 2000.

He leaves a brother and sister-in-law, Robert E. and Mary Mitchell of Sutton; two aunts, Bette O'Donnell and Barbara Galvich, cousins, Tamara Kallio and Craig Vaicilionis as well as other cousins in New Hampshire, California, Massachusetts and Florida. He was born and raised in Worcester, a son of Robert E. Mitchell, Sr., and Nell M. (Galvich) Mitchell. He then lived in Auburn before coming to Oxford many years ago.

Mr. Mitchell worked for National Grid, formerly Mass Electric Co., for many years before retiring in 2004. He was a graduate of Worcester Boy's Trade High School and served with the Army National Guard. Colin loved fishing, hunting and classic cars. He was a great brother, brother-in-law, nephew and cousin. We will miss him but will always remember him.

The funeral will be private with burial in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. There are no calling hours. DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St., Worcester is directing funeral arrangements.
