John Dudula Obituary

John D. Dudula, 84, formerly of Shrewsbury, passed away Saturday, November 1st 2008 in the Hammond House healthcare after an illness.

John is survived by his wife of 60 years, Ursula (Roach) Dudula; four children, Jonathan, David and Debra Dudula all of Shrewsbury, and Rhonda Flood of Blackstone; a sister, Ann White; three grandchildren, Leah Mathieson of Ft. Myers Florida, Kristina and Sean Flood of Blackstone; nieces and nephews. John was born in Worcester, a son of Dhimitri and Pauline (Vangel) Dudula. He graduated from Commerce High, served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Coolbaugh, during World War II, in the Pacific, the Philippine Liberation and the European, African and Middle eastern theatres. and has lived in Shrewsbury more than 42 years.

John worked over 15 years for L&J of New England, before retiring at the age of 75. He previously worked for G.E. Telecron.

He was a member of St. Mary Assumption Orthodox Church and past president of the Pan Albanian Federation of Vatra, Worcester Branch.

Funeral arrangements will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. The family wishes to avoid flowers and hopes that anyone wishing to help will donate to Huntington's Research, care of Massachusetts General Institute for Neurodegenerative Diseases. Attn.
