Stasia Zmetra Obituary
Her husband, Joseph L. Zmetra died November 2, 1973. She leaves her son, Ronald J. Zmetra and his wife Patricia of Dudley; a sister, Louise Kurposka of Southbridge; her grandchildren, Joseph Zmetra and his wife Tami of Dudley; Lauren Fitzgerald and her husband Donald of Pepperell, Francesca Zmetra of Boston; a great-granddaughter, Sydney Rose Zmetra of Dudley; a niece, Paula Allen and her husband Conrad of Dudley; and a great-niece, Kathy Allen Taylor of Dudley. She was predeceased by her sister, Wanda Klin of Worcester.
Stasia was born in Dudley, daughter of the late Frank and Catherine (Czerkowicz) Grzyb and lived here all her life. She was a hairdresser for more than 75 years, owning and operating Stasia's Beauty Shop in Dudley. She was a member of the Holy Rosary Sodality and Saint Andrew Bobola Church in Dudley. She was known for making wonderful funnel cakes for many years at the parish festival.
The funeral for Stasia will be held on Tuesday, November 11, 2008, from the Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home, 48 School Street, Webster, with a Mass at 10:00 am in Saint Andrew Bobola Church, Dudley. Burial will be in Saint Joseph Garden of Peace Cemetery, Webster. Calling hours at the funeral home are Monday, November 10, 2008, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Dudley Ambulance Squad, Dudley, MA 01570.

We have always enjoyed the limited time we've known her and we miss her dearly.My mother, Lorraine Fitzgerald was saddened to hear of her passing away and wishes all the family her deepest sympathy. On Nov 12, 2008 Lorraine offered a Mass in her parish for the soul of Stasia Zmetra.
