My deepest sympathy to the Hastings Family in Marty's passing. Since moving from the Worcester area in '87 I don't get updates on a lot of things and Marty's passing is one of them. I have fond memories of Burncoat football mainly due to the leadership Marty had but without being domineering - a trait of a true leader in my opinion. Our loss is heavens gain, Marty was a great guy.

Dearest Hastings Family,
Marty will be missed terribly. I've known Marty for many years, in Framingham, and during his time in Columbia. What a guy! He has always been so respected and respectful, most helpful and just a pleasure to work with. He was such a kind person with such a positive spin on life. I feel so honored to have known him. It was so very obvious that he loved his family very much, and those memories will hopefully sustain you all.

I've had the good fortune to know Marty for more then 30 years. I worked with him for many years at Bose.
I've lost a supervisor, co-worker, teacher & most of all, a friend.

Marty, may you rest in peace.
