Aunt Gloria was such a Wonderful Woman. She was always so welcoming & her stories never failed to bring a smile to my face. Her memory will live on forever.

I Have already wrote something in the guest book, but whated to share, something I wrote the other day.
The Bond
When a women gives birth to a child. A bond is created. There are mothers who nurture this bond and there are mothers who just don’t know how to embrace this bond. When the bond is nurtured the mother and child have a bond that is part of one another.
This bond I write about is when a mother knows when her child is hurting or in trouble.
This bond also shows a mother how to care and comfort the child. The bond shares the joys, hummer, and achievements in there lives. The bond shows when to give one understand, when no one else does. There are times when this bond switches. The child becomes a Mother, and the mother becomes the child or when the child has children of there own. When this switch happens a child uses the same bond for there mothers care.
This bond becomes part of each of them for life until one passes and that part can never be filled the missing bond will be missing. In time the memories will give strength and comfort to move forward and that you will reunite one day.

I was lucky to have had a nurturing mother. A part of me will always be missing but I have a full loving heart of memories. I wrote this for my Mother,

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

I have known Gloria, as well as all the Cavanaugh family, through Bernice and Mary whom I have worked with for years. Gloria made you feel loved, she made you laugh til you cried. I have good memories of Gloria, she had a way of making you a better person and of accepting things that you could not change. She told you to leave all the bad vibes behind and be open only to good things and good people. Gloria was one of those good people. I will remember her great smile and her way of making you feel loved.

My sister Gloria was one of the building blocks in my life. I have been fortunate enough to have been guided by my sisters including Gloria and my brother. Gloria was the key to living life for the moment. She helped me look at life and laugh when needed, we will miss that piece of our family foundation.

My Mom, Soul/best friend.
I was lucky to have a mother like her. Her and I where buddies, everywhere she went I was right beside her. For the past 9 years I have taking care of her and I would do it all over again. I do find myself at times lost with out her. but then I remember what she told me. She said " Babygirl no matter where I am I will always watch over you. Body is only a shell and my spirt will always be with you. The other day my husband was watching me cooking all my mothers favorite dishes, basiclly I was going nuts. I made mom's fried chinken, her meatballs, hamburg gravy and her clam chowder. As my husband ate each dish he said to me your mother will live on through you and the kids and the recipe. because he considerd himself lucky because he has the chance to watch me cook just like she was right there with me and then he get to eat all of it. I will miss her but all I have to do is look into my childrens eyes and watch there actions and I see my mother.
Thank you Mom for sharing your life with me on every level.

I don't know what to say. Mimi was always their for me when I needed her the most. She always felt bad that she couldn't do things with Jordan and I like walk to the store or bake cookies for us. Some people(my friends) use to think the same thing and ask me questions on how I felt about that. All I can say is she was a wonderful, warm hearted, caring, and most lovable grandma I knew. She was like a second mom to me, she lived with me and my brothber for 9 years. Which is all of his life and most of mine, and I will miss her so so much. It's funny how I didn't notice all the things that she did for me and all the things she said to me to make me feel better, intill now. She cooked, cleaned, and even helped me with my homework(even when she had no clue what I was doing). It's funny one day when I was living in Southbridge I had to write a number storyfor school (a short one), and I was having trouble so I asked her for help. She gave me the answer but it wasn't short at all it was a story about these 2 kids buying balloons and it went on and on. It was totally off topic that I got the whole thing wrong..lol.... Now shes in heaven with god, grandpa cavanugh, Aunt Virginia, and all of her friends watching over us and helping us. So for now I can only say that I love you Mimi and intill we meet again someday in heaven goodbye. I Love You So Much!!!- Ginny
P.S. She was always helpful and she cared about people so much. She always had advice and wasn't afraid on how to tell it like it was. LOL I will always think about you and love you

Aunt Gloria was always so happy to see us when we came to visit. She had wonderful stories to tell and a beautiful laugh. Many years ago I had lost my driver's license and talked to Aunt Gloria about it; she told me just where to find them. She was a great woman with a special gift!! I wish I could have seen her or atleast talked with her one last time. Life takes us many places and I am so happy my life took me passed Aunt Gloria and her family.

"She deserves paradise who makes her companions laugh."
I am not one to be at a lose for words, yet to compose at this time, it just does not flow as easily as the tears or the words that float into my mind as I think of you: Accepting, Giving, Humorous, Nurturing, Gorgeous, Infectious, Loving, and Loved. And is there one term for "One who feeds others"? If there is, and if I knew it, I would add that too.
One last thing I must say, though we have said it to each other before, it fitting that we end with laughter: "May you be in the loving arms of the Lord an hour before the Devil knows your there."

Aunt Gloria was the most excepting person I knew. She seemed to love everyone . She was always happy When I seen her even after she was sick. she was strong and open minded and there is no end to the memories I have of her . I spent alot of time with her when I was growing up second only to my mother. I love her and miss her and I just keep thinking of those meatballs she used to make me when I stayed with her.

Globug is what I used to call my Auntie Gloria. She was a truly loving aunt who always had her door open to anyone who needed her. She was always willing to help others and offer advice and kind words without being judgmental. I have many happy memories of her- my cousin and I used to tease her and drive her crazy sometimes but she put up with us and loved us. We ruined her soup once by putting candy in it. We used to go to her house and sneak out the back window to go to the store and she didn't know where we were..lol..poor Globug we made her worry. I used to visit her in Brookfield all the time and it was so fun to talk to her because she was always so good at listening. It's hard to find that today-someone who truly listens and cares and that's who she was. Globug, you will always be loved and missed..but we will see you again when we join you with our loving Father in Heaven. While you're watching over us from Heaven, we'll be loving you and remembering you! Love Your Kor

Gloria Lorraine CAVANAUGH Ells was first and foremost my friend and I was so fortunate that she was also one of my terrific sisters and her and I also were fortunate to have a couple of terrific brothers as well. Gloria and I shared the care of our children; our children look to each other as true brothers and sister, a close bond that Gloria and I nurtured. Gloria had numerous friends and always had room in her heart for one more but each and every friend had a special place in Gloria's life and in her heart. Although she may have moved on she will never truly be any further away than the numerous memories of her. Thanks for the memories.

Gloria lived her life the way she wanted. She had many friends and I was one of the lucky ones. We became as close as sisters.
We celebrated everything from meatballs at Christmas to Corned Beef on St. Patrick's Day. A plate was always set for Gloria and family.
Her family and friends always came first.
I will miss you Glo and think of you everyday.
Love,
