Norma Joyal Obituary

Norma E. (Smith) Joyal, passed away Wednesday, November 12, 2008 surrounded by her family in UMass Memorial Medical Center after a long illness. She leaves four sons, Wallace and Jerry of Barre, James of North Brookfield and Richard of Oakham; three daughters, Carol Healy of Millbury, Kathleen Thibault and Rosemary Joyal both of Barre; a brother, David Smith of Barre; five sisters, Florence Murdza of Amherst, Beverly Landry of Lunenburg, Shirley Smith of Florida, Helen Albrect of Ware and Edna Mae Radisic of Athol; 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a sister, Clara Shepardson. Norma was born in West Brookfield the daughter of the late David & Florence (Smith) Smith. She devoted her life to her eldest son who was physically handicapped his entire life. Norma enjoyed fishing and taking long walks. She will be sadly missed by her loving children.

The funeral for Norma will be private for the family on Saturday, November 15, 2008 in Pillsbury Funeral Home, 96 S. Barre Rd., Barre.
