Janet Iacovone Obituary
Janet is survived by her husband of 48 years, Philip T. Iacovone; a son, Philip M. Iacovone; two daughters, Donna Therrien and her husband Roy, Ellie Iacovone and her companion Gaetano; a brother, Michael Rizzuti; three sisters, Joann Scampini and Lois Buffone all of Worcester, and Patricia Pellerin of Oxford; six grandchildren, Stephanie, Kayla and R.J. Therrien, Giorgio, Gaetano and Maria Iacovone; a great grandson, Adam; many nieces and nephews. A daughter, Teresa Iacovone passed away in 1985; a sister, Eleanor Todd pre deceased her. She was born in Worcester, her parents were William and Nellie (Bonds) Rizzuti and has lived here all her life.
Janet worked over 18 years for Campi's Deli before retiring. She was a member of Our Lady of Loreto Church.
The funeral will be held Monday, November 17th from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. with a mass at 9:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Loreto Church, 37 Massasoit Rd. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Sunday, November 16th from 4 to 7 p.m. in the funeral. The family requests that flowers be omitted.

Words are so difficult and so empty at a time like this. Grief is such a personal thing anyone can say could possibly take away the pain that you are feeling now. When you lose someone you love,it is hard to bear the sorrow and it takes strength and courage to face another day.but may the words of others and there true concern help sustain you. Ellie,
I am so very sorry for the loss of your mother. I know how hard this is, from my own experience. Your mother was a great person and I am very fortunate to have had the chance to work with her. I have so many good memories of working at Tom's and Campy's with her. She was a great women and a very hard worker, and we shared a lot of great laughs. I hope your father and the boys are doing well. You guys are in my prayers. Again I'm so sorry for your loss.

To The Iacovone Family,
My deepest sympathies and prayers are with you all at this most difficult time. Janet always had a bright shining way about her, and always a smile for me no matter how she was feeling. I will miss her, I am glad she is sufferring no more. She will always be with you, in your hearts and as your very own special angel from up above, just as she was in life. God bless you all.

Oh, how sad it is to read the news of Janet's death, she was always such a lively person. I knew her from Coral St, where she, Lois and I danced to American Bandstand, played cards (Janet could deal a deck like a pro), roller-skated (first at the schoolyard, later at the rink) and, often, sat on my front porch talking and singing (how L & J stood my never-in-tune voice was a wonder) and just hung out. Life is too short; it goes too fast.
