Marietta Mazzarelli Obituary

Marietta "Maggie" Mazzarelli, 85, of Milford, died Monday, November 17 at Metro West Med. Center in Framingham. She was the wife of the late John Mazzarelli who died in 1974.

She was born in Uxbridge, daughter of the late Julio & Eladorado (D'Alfonso) Rabuffo. She was a graduate of Uxbridge High School and as a young woman had been employed by the former Bernat Mill in Uxbridge. She had been a Milford resident for over 60 years.

She had been a member of the former Owlettes Club of Milford. Cooking for her family and friends was a real enjoyment for her and spending time with her family during the holidays and at the family cottage in Newport on Sundays in the summer was a tradition for years. Mrs. Mazzarelli is survived by two sons: John Mazzarelli and his wife Karen of Medway, Richard Mazzarelli and his wife Gail of Mendon; three daughters: Dolores Mazzarelli of Milford, Lina Watson and her husband Dwight of Mendon, Claudia Missert and her husband Robert of Milford; three grandchildren: Steven Watson, Allyse & Jace Mazzarelli, all of Mendon; a sister, Julia Gresco of Uxbridge; nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers: Albert Nunzio & Angelo Rabuffo; and a sister, Josephine Mazzarelli.

The funeral will be held on Thursday, November 20 at 10 am in Holy Angels Church, 1 Milford St., Upton. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Milford. Calling hours will be on Wednesday, November 19 from 5 to 8 pm in the Watson Colonial Funeral Home, 24 Congress St., Milford. Donations in her memory may be made to the American Heart Assn., 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701 or the American Lung Assn. of Massachusetts, 460 Totten Pond Rd., Waltham, MA 02451.
