Mary Murphy Obituary

Mary L. (Lindsey) Murphy, 54, of 2286 West St. died Saturday, November 15, 2008 after an 8 month battle with Leukemia. Mary was born in Ware the daughter of Robert & Norma (Rice) Lindsey of Orange, MA. She leaves her husband of 34 years, Kevin Murphy; two sisters, Linda Morse & her husband Tim of Virginia and Evelyn Rosenbloom of NH.; a brother, Robert Lindsey & his wife Pam; a sister in law, Sharon Murphy of Barre; her Godchild, Amanda; aunts, uncles, nephews & nieces; and her many beloved cats & dogs. Mary was a graduate of Quabbin Regional High School and has been a lifelong resident. She worked the former Sprague Electric Co., Baby Boomers Day Care in Barre and owned and operated her own day care center for several years. She was very involved with the Bosler Humane Society and made her home a haven for sick or injured animals. Mary loved flowers, gardening and decorating her home for the holidays.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, Nov. 20, 2008 from 4:00-6:00 PM in Pillsbury Funeral Home, 96 S. Barre Rd., Barre. The funeral for Mary will be held on Friday at 10:00 AM in the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Donations may be made in her memory to the Anne Marie Cancer Fund, PO Box 56, Barre, MA. 01005 or to the Bosler Humane Society, PO Box 12, Baldwinville, MA. 01436.
