Mary Flanagan Obituary
Mary was born in Clinton to the late Michael J. and Grace H. (Conley) Flanagan and was a graduate of Clinton High School Class of 1932. Following graduation, Mary began employment with the former Doll Shop in Clinton. She later joined the former Colonial Press in Clinton as an inspector for nearly forty years, ultimately retiring upon their closing. She was a devoted member of Our Lady of the Rosary Parish in Clinton. Mary took pleasure in reading, crossword puzzles, and trips to Hampton Beach. She enjoyed playing the piano and cherished time spent with her loving family.
Funeral services are to be held on Thursday, November 20, 2008 from the Philbin-Comeau Funeral Home, 176 Water St., Clinton, with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10AM in Our Lady of the Rosary Parish, 1 Cross St., Clinton. Burial is to follow at St. John's Cemetery in Lancaster. A calling hour will be held in the funeral home prior to Mass on Thursday from 8:30 until 9:30AM. Flowers may be sent or memorial contributions may be made in memory of Mary F. Flanagan to St. Mary's School, 128 Franklin St., Clinton, MA 01510. Online condolences may be placed at

What I remember most about Aunt Mary was her smile, generosity and the Love for her family and friends. I recall as a child riding my bike over the tree lined hills of Clinton to visit, and would always get a kick out of ringing the door key at Aunt Mary's place to let her know I had arrived and was fascinated by the pantry and sliding down the bannister. during my visits She would give Me Royal Lunch crackers from a box as a treat and there usually would be a box of chocolates available on the living room coffee table.
