As a child, I always looked forward to Aunt Marietta and Uncle Dar's visits to Florida. He was a kind person. His smile was contagious! My sympathy and prayers are with you all.

Dear Aunt Marietta and Frannie,
I am very sorry to hear of the loss of Uncle Dar. I have very good memories of him singing. He would sing that old song to me: "K-K-K-Katie, beautiful Katie,
You're the only g-g-g-girl that I adore;
When the m-m-m-moon shines,
Over the c-c-c-cowshed,
I'll be waiting at the k-k-k-kitchen door" I can still hear him singing this even though this was years ago.

I also remember how much he liked to call me other names "Hello Margret - how are you!" in jest - always so full of humor with that glint in his eye.

Very many warm memories that I have along with my parents, Charlie and Sandy and my brother and sister, David and Cathy.

From the Hales - our sincere sympathy and love.

Dear Aunt Wella,
Darrell and I sympathize with you and Frannie on your loss.
Uncle Dar was loved by all of us here in Florida, and we will miss his
quick wit and warm gentle ways.
We send you both our heartfelt sympathy.

Death, be not proud

Death, be not proud, though some have called thee
Mighty and dreadful, for thou art not so;
For those whom thou think'st thou dost overthrow
Die not, poor Death, nor yet canst thou kill me.
From rest and sleep, which but thy pictures be,
Much pleasure; then from thee much more must flow,
And soonest our best men with thee do go,
Rest of their bones, and soul's delivery.
Thou art slave to fate, chance, kings, and desperate men,
And dost with poison, war, and sickness dwell,
And poppy or charms can make us sleep as well
And better than thy stroke; why swell'st thou then?
One short sleep past, we wake eternally
And death shall be no more; Death, thou shalt die.
