Mary Ryan Obituary

Mary "Sheila" (Kelly) Ryan, 86, of Hill St., Whitinsville, died Friday November 21, 2008 in Saint Camillus Health Center, Whitinsville. She was the wife of the late William Ryan.

Born in Northern Ireland, she was the daughter of the late Patrick J. and Elizabeth (Riley) Kelly and had graduated from Northbridge High School in 1940.

She worked over thirty years as a Receptionist for Commonwealth Gas Co., Southboro, retiring in 1990. She was a member of the Hibernian Club, Worcester.

She is survived by three sons, Gerald R. Kempton and his wife Lucille of Woonsocket, RI, Ronald J. Kempton and his wife Judith and James M. Kempton and his wife Donna, both of Upton, MA; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was the great grandmother of the late Jason Roscher and sister of the late Patrick, Francis Gerald, James Maurice and Kieran Kelly and Irene Sweeney.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, November 24, 2008 at 10AM in St. Charles Church, 190 No. Main St., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Charles Cemetery, Blackstone, MA. Calling hours are omitted. Arrangements are under the direction of the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket, RI. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Charity of One's Choice.
