Rhoda Jablon Obituary

Rhoda D. (Hashagen) Jablon, 81, formerly of Flagler Dr., died on Sunday, November 23, 2008 in Holy Trinity Nursing Home after a long illness.

Her husband of 32 years, Edward Jablon died in 1987. She leaves two sons, Robert C. Jablon of Scottsdale, Arizona and Steven E. Jablon and his wife Amy of Lexington, South Carolina; two daughters, Christine M. Grinnell and her husband James of Holden and Laura A. Timmons and her husband Timothy of Chandler, Arizona; 9 grandchildren and a niece. A sister, Irene Hashagen predeceased her.

She was born in New York City the daughter of Charles & Frances Jablon and lived 20 years in Warren, Pennsylvania before moving to Holden in 1999.

Mrs. Jablon worked for J.C. Penney Co. in Marlboro for several years. She was a member of St. Mary's Church in Jefferson and was active in the bereavement ministry and prayer group.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation period from 9 to 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 28th in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden followed by a funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, 114 Princeton St., Jefferson. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Holden. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
